ACA Participates in the Parliamentary Select Committee Meeting

On July 20, 2019, members of the Parliamentary Select Committees on Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs; Legal and the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs met at the Eastern Premier Hotel, Koforidua to study the Draft bill and report back to Parliament.

This activity comes after the Draft Bill for the establishment of the “Tree Crop Development Authority” has been validated by stakeholders and submitted to Parliament for approval and subsequent enactment into law.                                                                                                                                        

The African Cashew Alliance and other Private sector representatives from the various tree crop sectors including; the Association of Cashew Processors of Ghana, Benson Oil Palm Plantation, Ghana Rubber Estate Company, and the Ghana Shea Pickers Association were invited for their inputs.

Also present was the Managing Director of BUSAC, who is one of the event’s sponsors.
