ACi Launches Second Call of The Matching Fund
The African Cashew Initiative launched the second call of the Matching Fund today. Between 19th July to 19th August 2013, Private Enterprises can apply with their projects on enhancement of farmer linkages and may potentially receive funding from the Matching Fund Board. The ACi Cashew Matching Fund was launched in September 2012 to leverage contributions from processors, farmer- based organizations, buyers and/or retailers, as well as public research institutions. It is a unique public private partnership model and the only fund for cashew worldwide. After the first call in September 2013, 16 projects with a total investment of 6.1 Million Euro were implemented in four different countries.
