Terms of Reference Institutional support providing an Administrative and Financial team to design and implement an effective and efficient approach to resource management (Grant Processing No.21.2199.4-506.00 Agreement No. 81303730)
Background: The African Cashew Alliance (ACA), founded in 2006, is dedicated to advancing a globally competitive African cashew industry. ACA’s mission focuses on creating partnerships, advocacy, and market linkages while promoting value addition in the cashew sector. To fulfill its strategic goals, ACA requires expert consultancy to strengthen its financial and administrative operations, in line with GIZ's regulatory requirements.
Purpose of Consultancy: The consultancy aims to establish an efficient administrative and financial system for ACA, ensuring internal controls, financial transparency, and timely reporting. Key responsibilities include:
1. Provision of qualified staff, including a Senior Expert, Legal and Financial Expert, Accountant, and Financial Officer.
2. Implementation of a robust internal control system, including transparent procurement processes.
3. Preparation and management of audits.
4. Regular financial reporting to GIZ.
5. Writing of proposals to attract partnerships and funding to implement interventions towards achieving the vision of ACA
Deliverables:
1. Monthly financial reports and updates on obligations and receivables.
2. Timely preparation of inventory and financial documents for GIZ.
3. Strategic documents to guide administrative and financial practices.
4. Funding proposals prepared and submitted to potential sources of funding
5. Other tasks as directed by the ACA Managing Director.
Duration & Payment: The consultancy is set to run from March 1, 2025, to January 14, 2026. Payment will be negotiated, and applicants should include their technical approach, methodology, budget, and availability.
